Hadith 3233

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ وَلَدِ رَجُلٍ ارْتَدَّتْ عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ، فَكَتَبَ فِي ذَلِكَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فَكَتَبَ عُمَرُ: «أَنْ يَبِيعُوهَا بِأَرْضٍ لَيْسَ بِهَا أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ دِينِهَا»
A man's umm walad committed apostasy, so regarding her, Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) ordered that she be sold in a region where there are none of her co-religionists.
