Sunan Sa'id

It is narrated from Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Urwah al-Bariqi (may Allah be pleased with him) brought this ruling from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) to Shurayh: If the eye of an animal is lost, then a quarter of its price should be given; the fingers are all equal; the ruling for the wounds of men and women is equal, except for the wound of the tooth and the bone; and the best state of a man is that at the time of death he acknowledges his child; and if a man gives his wife three divorces, then she is his heir during the waiting period.
