Hadith 3095

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي: إنَّ نَاسًا يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ الْإِيلَاءَ طَلَاقٌ، قَالَ: «كَذَبُوا، إِنَّمَا هُوَ شَيْءٌ وُعِظُوا بِهِ»
Hazrat Hisham bin Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "I said to my father that some people consider Ila to be divorce. He said: They are lying, it is only an admonition."
