Hadith 3090

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ «أَنَّ الرَّجُلَ كَانَ يُولِي مِنِ امْرَأَتِهِ، فَيَمْكُثُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ، وَكَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا لَا تَرَى ذَلِكَ إِيلَاءً»
Qasim bin Muhammad (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "A man would take an oath of abstinence (ila) from his wife and leave her for more than four months, but Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) did not consider this to be ila."
