حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حُجَيْرٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، قَالَ: «إِذَا ظَاهَرَ الرَّجُلُ مِنِ امْرَأَتِهِ فَعَلَيْهِ الْكَفَّارَةُ، بَرَّأَ وَلَمْ يَبَرَّ»
Hazrat Tawus (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When a man pronounces zihar on his wife, expiation becomes obligatory upon him, whether he fulfills the oath or not."
