Hadith 2937

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي امْرَأَةٍ نُعِيَ إِلَيْهَا زَوْجُهَا، أَوْ يَأْسِرُهُ الْعَدُوُّ، قَالَ: «تَصْبِرُ حَتَّى تَعْلَمَ يَقِينَ أَمْرِهِ، إِنَّمَا هِيَ امْرَأَةٌ ابْتُلِيَتْ»
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If news of the husband's death or of his being captured by the enemy is received, the woman must wait until certainty is attained, because this is a trial."
