Hadith 2867

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ الْمُكْتِبِ، قَالَ: ذَبَحْتُ بَقَرَةً فِي الْحَيِّ، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: الْحِلُّ عَلَيْهِ حَرَامٌ إِنْ أَكَلَ مِنْهَا، فَسُئِلَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ، فَقَالَ: «لَوْلَا امْرَأَتُهُ لَأَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ»
Ubaid Makatib (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I slaughtered a cow in the neighborhood. A person said: "If I eat its meat, it will be forbidden for me." Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked about this, and he said: "If it were not for the matter of his wife, I would have ordered him to eat the meat."
