[قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَقَاتِلُوهُمْ حَتَّى لَا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ وَيَكُونَ الدِّينُ لِلَّهِ}]His saying, Exalted is He: {And fight them until there is no [more] fitnah and [until] the religion, all of it, is for Allah.}
Hadith 285

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، وَأَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَلا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ } قَالَ: تَرْكُ النَّفَقَةِ .
Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the statement of Allah, the Exalted: «وَلَا تُلْقُوا بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ», that Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "It means not spending (i.e., refraining from spending on one's needs)."
