بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يَجْعَلُ أَمْرَ امْرَأَتِهِ بِيَدِهَاChapter on a man giving his wife the right to decide
Hadith 2813

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مَنْصُورٌ، وَيُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «إِذَا جَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ أَمْرَ امْرَأَتِهِ بِيَدِ غَيْرِهَا فَالْقَضَاءُ مَا قَضَى، فَإِنْ رَدَّهَا فَوَاحِدَةٌ، وَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا»
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When a man entrusts the matter of his wife to someone else, then the decision will be as that person makes. If he returns the wife, then it will be counted as one divorce and the husband will have more right (to take her back)."
