Hadith 2808

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَتَبَ إِلَى امْرَأَتِهِ يُخَيِّرُهَا فَوَضَعَتِ الْكِتَابَ تَحْتَ الْفِرَاشِ فَلَمْ تَقُلْ شَيْئًا قَالَ: «فَلَا خِيَارَ لَهَا»
It is narrated from Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man gave his wife the right of choice by writing her a letter. The wife placed the letter under her pillow and said nothing. So he said: "Now she has no choice."
