بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يَجْعَلُ أَمْرَ امْرَأَتِهِ بِيَدِهَاChapter on a man giving his wife the right to decide
Hadith 2806

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْكَلَاعِيِّ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، قَالَ: «إِذَا جَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ أَمْرَ امْرَأَتِهِ بِيَدِهَا فَأَرْجَأَتْ ذَلِكَ فَلَا شَيْءَ لَهَا» .
It is narrated from Hazrat Mak'hool (may Allah have mercy on him) that he said: "If a man gives his wife the right of choice and the woman delays exercising this right, then she no longer has any right (of choice)."
