حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْحَلَالِ الْعَتَكِيِّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، إِنَّ رَجُلًا جَعَلَ أَمْرَ امْرَأَتِهِ بِيَدِهَا؟ قَالَ: «فَأَمْرُهَا بِيَدِهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said: "O Commander of the Faithful! A man has given the matter of his wife into her own hand." So Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Then the matter is now in her hand."
