حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي جَعَلْتُ أَمْرَ امْرَأَتِي بِيَدِهَا، فَطَلَّقَتْ نَفْسَهَا ثَلَاثًا، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ: مَا تَرَى؟ قَالَ: " أَرَاهَا وَاحِدَةً، وَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا، قَالَ عُمَرُ: وَأَنَا أَرَى ذَلِكَ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) that a man came to Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "I handed over the matter of my wife to her, so she gave herself three divorces." Umar asked Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): "What is your opinion?" He said: "I consider it as one divorce and the husband has more right over her." Umar said: "This is also my opinion."
