Hadith 2757

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، نا عُثْمَانُ الْبَتِّيُّ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، فِي رَجُلٍ قَذَفَ امْرَأَتَهُ بِشَيْءٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجُهَا قَالَ «يُضْرَبُ، وَيُلَاعِنُ وَهِيَ امْرَأَتُهُ»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: If a man accuses a woman of adultery before marriage, the hadd (punishment) will be enforced, and after marriage, he will perform li'an (mutual cursing).
