بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ ثُمَّ يَقْذِفُهَا فِي عِدَّتِهَاChapter: A man divorces his wife, then accuses her during her waiting period
Hadith 2754

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا فَجَاءَتْ بِحَمْلٍ فَانْتَفَى مِنْهُ قَالَ: " يُلَاعِنُهَا، فَقَالَ لَهُ الْحَارِثُ الْعُكْلِيُّ: يَا أَبَا عُمَرَ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ فِي كِتَابِهِ {وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ} [النور: 6] أَفَتَرَاهَا لَهُ زَوْجَةً وَقَدْ طَلَّقَهَا ثَلَاثًا، فَقَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ: لَأَسْتَحْيِي إِذَا رَأَيْتُ الْحَقَّ أَنْ أَرْجِعَ إِلَيْهِ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) that when a man gives his wife three divorces and she becomes pregnant, then he should perform li'an with her. Harith Akli said: O Abu Umar, does Allah Almighty not say in His Book: «وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ», so does she remain a wife after divorce? Sha'bi said: I feel shy to turn away from the truth after seeing it.
