بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ الْمَرْأَةَ تَطْلِيقَةً أَوْ تَطْلِيقَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ تَرْجِعُ إِلَيْهِ بَعْدَ زَوْجٍ عَلَى كَمْ تَكُونُ عِنْدَهُChapter: A man divorces his wife once or twice, then she returns to him after marrying another—how many times does she have left with him?
Hadith 2716

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، نا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: " كَانَ أَصْحَابُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُونَ: يَهْدِمُ النِّكَاحُ الثَّلَاثَ، وَلَا يَهْدِمُ الْوَاحِدَةَ وَالثِّنْتَيْنِ "
It is narrated from Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) that the companions of Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that a new marriage (nikah) ends three divorces, but does not end one or two.
