Hadith 2677

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى فَقَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «وَمَا كَانَ مِنْ مَتَاعٍ يَكُونُ لِلرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ، فَهُوَ لِلرَّجُلِ حَيٌّ كَانَ أَوْ مَيِّتٌ»
Hazrat Ibn Abi Layla (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the belongings which are used by both men and women, whether the person is alive or dead, will be considered as belonging to the man.
