Hadith 2576

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُطَرِّفٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «لَيْسَ لَهَا النَّفَقَةُ عَلَى زَوْجِهَا إِذَا كَانَ الْحَبْسُ مِنْ قِبَلِهَا» .
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if the imprisonment is from the woman's side, then for her husband there is neither obligation of maintenance nor lodging.
