Hadith 2571

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: «إِذَا طَلَّقَ الرَّجُلُ الْأَمَةَ وَهِيَ حَامِلٌ فَلَيْسَ لَهَا نَفَقَةٌ؛ لِأَنَّ وَلَدَهُ لِقَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that if a person's pregnant slave woman is divorced, then there is no maintenance for her, because the child will belong to another people.
