بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي نَفَقَةِ الْحَامِلِChapter: What is reported regarding the maintenance of a pregnant woman
Hadith 2550

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ شُرَيْحٍ، قَالَ: «يُنْفَقُ عَلَى الْحَامِلِ الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْمَالِ» قَالَ: وَكَانَ أَصْحَابُنَا يَقُولُونَ: «إِذَا كَانَ الْمَالُ ذَا مِزٍّ أُنْفِقَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ نَصِيبِهَا، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْمَالُ قَلِيلًا أُنْفِقَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ الْمَالِ»
Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The expenses of a pregnant widow should be given from the entire wealth. And our companions said: If the wealth is abundant, it should be given from her share; if it is little, then from the entire wealth.
