حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ فِي بَيْتٍ مُؤَاجَرَةٍ قَالَ: «تُقِيمُ فِيهِ حَتَّى تَنْقَضِيَ عِدَّتُهَا، وَعَلَى زَوْجِهَا أَجْرُ الْبَيْتِ»
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) said: A divorced woman should complete her waiting period ('iddah) in a rented house, and the rent will be the responsibility of the husband.
