Hadith 2506

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: «الطَّلَاقُ بِالرِّجَالِ وَالْعِدَّةُ بِالنِّسَاءِ»
Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Divorce is in the hands of men and the waiting period (iddah) is the responsibility of women.
