Hadith 2505

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، سَمِعَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ نُفَيْعًا فَتَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَةً حُرَّةً تَطْلِيقَتَيْنِ، فَحَرَصُوا أَنْ يَرُدُّوهَا عَلَيْهِ، فَأَبَى ذَلِكَ عُثْمَانُ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ»
It is narrated from Sulaiman bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Uthman and Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with them) refused to allow the wife of Nufay’ to return to him, who had given her two divorces.
