بَابُ الْأَمَةِ تُطَلَّقُ فَتُعْتَقُ فِي الْعِدَّةِChapter: A slave woman is divorced and freed during her waiting period
Hadith 2453

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، قَالَ: نا الْأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: «طَلَاقُ الْأَمَةِ تَطْلِيقَتَانِ، وَعِدَّتُهَا حَيْضَتَانِ» قَالَ: «وَإِذَا اسْتُبْرِئَتِ الْأَمَةُ اسْتُبْرِئَتْ بِحَيْضَةٍ»
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The divorce of a slave woman is two times and her waiting period ('iddah) is two menstruations. And her Istibra' (waiting period to ensure she is not pregnant) will be one menstruation.
