بَابُ الرَّجُلِ يُطَلِّقُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَتَحِيضُ ثَلَاثَ حِيَضٍ فَيَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْهُرَChapter: A man divorces his wife, she has three periods, and he enters upon her before she is purified

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَحَاضَتْ ثَلَاثَ حِيَضٍ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَتْ لِتَغْتَسِلَ أَرَادَ الدُّخُولَ عَلَيْهَا فَمُنِعَ مِنْ ذَاكَ وَكَانَتْ ذَاتَ حَشَمٍ فَاخْتَصَمُوا إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَتْ: " رَأَيْتُ الطُّهْرَ وَوَضَعْتُ الثِّيَابَ وَقَرَّبْتُ الْمَاءَ، قَالَ: «هَلْ كُنْتِ اسْتَنْفَضْتِ؟» قَالَتْ: لَا، فَرَدَّهَا عَلَيْهِ ".
Ibrahim al-Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: An Ansari gave his wife a divorce; she had completed three menstrual cycles, but before taking a bath, reconciliation was possible. Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), after investigation, allowed reconciliation.
