قَالَ: وَقَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «مِنْ يَوْمِ تُوُفِّيَ»He said: And Jabir ibn Zayd and Ibn Abbas said: "From the day he died."

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، وَأَبِي الْعَالِيَةَ، وَابْنِ سِيرِينَ أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا: «مِنْ يَوْمِ مَاتَ أَوْ يَوْمِ طَلَّقَ»
Hazrat Abu Qilabah, Abu Al-Aliyah, and Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on them) said: The waiting period (‘iddah) will be counted from the day of death or divorce.
