قَالَ: وَقَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، وَابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «مِنْ يَوْمِ تُوُفِّيَ»He said: And Jabir ibn Zayd and Ibn Abbas said: "From the day he died."

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُغِيرَةُ، وَالشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ
Hazrat Aamir Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The waiting period (iddah) will be counted from the day of divorce or death.
