حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَ الرَّجُلُ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا بِكَلِمَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، وَيَقُولُ: «لِيُطَلِّقْهَا وَاحِدَةً، ثُمَّ لْيَدَعْهَا حَتَّى تَنْقَضِيَ الْعِدَّةُ»
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said that he disliked giving three divorces in one statement and would say: "Give one divorce and let the waiting period pass."
