Hadith 2142

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: كَانَ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ لَا يَرَيَانِ أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ. قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «وَإِنَّ رُؤْيَتَهُنَّ لَهُمَا تَحِلُّ»
Muhammad bin Ali (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "Hasan and Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not look at the Pure Wives (the wives of the Prophet ﷺ)." Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "It was permissible for them to look at them."
