قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَا نَنْسَخْ مِنْ آيَةٍ أَوْ نُنْسِهَا نَأْتِ بِخَيْرٍ مِنْهَا أَوْ مِثْلِهَا}His saying, the Exalted: "Whatever verse We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it..."
Hadith 209

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: (مَا نَنْسَخْ مِنْ آيَةٍ أَوْ نُنْسِيهَا)، قَالَ: أَوْ نُؤَخِّرُهَا
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the statement of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic: ﴿Whatever verse We abrogate or cause to be forgotten﴾, that is: "Or We postpone it."
