بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَزْنِي وَقَدْ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً وَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ بِهَاChapter: What is reported regarding a man committing adultery after marrying a woman but before consummation
Hadith 2044

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: أَحْدَثَتِ امْرَأَةٌ بِالشَّامِ، فَكُتِبَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنْ أَنْكِحْهَا وَلَا تُخْبِرْ حَدَثَهَا. قَالَ: «أَنْكِحُوهَا وَلَا تَذْكُرُوا حَدَثَهَا»
It was written to Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) from Syria that a woman has committed adultery; should she be married? He replied: "Marry her and do not mention her incident."
