حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: " لَيْسَ لِلْعَبْدِ طَلَاقٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ سَيِّدِهِ. قَالَ: وَذَكَرَ: {ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا عَبْدًا مَمْلُوكًا لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ} [النحل: 75]
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "A slave does not have the right to divorce without the permission of his master." Then he recited this verse: «ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا عَبْدًا مَمْلُوكًا لَا يَقْدِرُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ» [النحل: 75].
