حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا مُجَالِدٌ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: «هُوَ عَلَى الْأَبِ»
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The dowry is obligatory upon the father."
