Hadith 1949

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي الرَّجُلِ إِذَا أُدْخِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ امْرَأَتُهُ، ثُمَّ طَلَّقَهَا فَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَمَسَّهَا، قَالَ: «عَلَيْهِ نِصْفُ الصَّدَاقِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that if a man brings a woman into his marriage and then divorces her and claims that he did not touch her, then half of the dowry will be obligatory upon him.
