حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا حُصَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ نَافِعٍ، تَزَوَّجَ بِنْتَ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ فَطَلَّقَهَا، وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَقْرَبْهَا، فَخَاصَمُوهُ إِلَى شُرَيْحٍ فَاسْتَحْلَفَهُ وَقَضَى عَلَيْهِ بِنِصْفِ الصَّدَاقِ "
Amr bin Nafi' married Sayyidah bint Yahya bin Al-Jazzar and then divorced her, and he claimed that he had not touched his wife. Hazrat Shurayh, may Allah have mercy on him, took an oath and ruled half the dowry in favor of the woman.
