حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، قَالَ: " قَضَى الْخُلَفَاءُ الرَّاشِدُونَ الْمَهْدِيُّونَ: أَنَّهُ مَنْ أَغْلَقَ بَابًا وَأَرْخَى سِتْرًا فَقَدْ وَجَبَ الصَّدَاقُ وَالْعِدَّةُ "
Zurarah bin Awfi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It was the decision of the rightly guided caliphs that closing the door and drawing the curtain makes the dowry and waiting period obligatory."
