حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: «إِذَا أُغْلِقَ الْبَابُ وَأُرْخِيَ السِّتْرُ وَوُضِعَ الْخِمَارُ وَجَبَ الصَّدَاقُ»
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "When the door is closed, the curtain is drawn, and the veil is removed, then the dowry becomes obligatory."
