Hadith 1925

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ: «يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ، بِامْرَأَتِهِ حَتَّى يُعْطِيَهَا شَيْئًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he considered it necessary to give some dowry before going to the wife.
