Hadith 1922

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ: نا حَجَّاجٌ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ تَزَوَّجَ فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ فَقِيرٌ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَهُ شَيْءٌ أَفَنُدْخِلُهَا عَلَيْهِ وَلَمْ يُعْطِهَا شَيْئًا مِنْ صَدَاقِهَا؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ أَدْخِلُوهَا عَلَيْهِ»
It is narrated from Hazrat Khaythamah (may Allah have mercy on him) that an Ansari man got married. The companions said: "O Messenger of Allah! He is poor, he has nothing for the dowry. Should we allow him to be alone with his wife?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, send his wife to him."
