بَابُ الْمَرْأَةِ تُزَوَّجُ فِي عِدِّتِهَاChapter: A woman marrying during her waiting period ('iddah)
Hadith 1875

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ قَالَ لِلَّتِي نُكِحَتْ فِي عِدَّتِهَا، فَرِّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا، وَقَالَ: «لَا يَتَنَاكَحَانِ أَبَدًا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا الْمَهْرَ بِمَا اسْتَحَلَّ مِنْ فَرْجِهَا، وَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَعْتَدَّ مِنْ هَذَا وَتَعْتَدَّ مِنْ هَذَا»
It is narrated from Sulaiman bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Separate the two of them, they should never marry each other again, give the woman her dowry because the man has benefited from her, and the woman must complete the waiting period ('iddah) for both."
