بَابُ الْمَرْأَةِ تُزَوَّجُ فِي عِدِّتِهَاChapter: A woman marrying during her waiting period ('iddah)

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ أُتِيَ فِي امْرَأَةٍ تَزَوَّجَتْ فِي عِدَّتِهَا فَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا وَعَاقَبَهَا، وَجَعَلَ الصَّدَاقَ فِي بَيْتِ الْمَالِ عُقُوبَةً لَهَا، وَقَالَ: «لَا يَجْتَمِعَانِ أَبَدًا»
It is narrated from Ibrahim al-Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) that when such a woman's case was brought before Sayyiduna Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), he separated the two, punished the woman, deposited the dowry in the public treasury, and said: "Never be together again."
