Hadith 1852

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ «أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَرَى تَزْوِيجَ الرَّجُلِ الْمَرْأَةَ عَلَى أَنْ يُحِجَّهَا جَائِزًا، فَإِنْ طَلَّقَهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بِهَا فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا يَحُجُّ بِهِ مِثْلُهَا»
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a man marries a woman on the condition that he will take her for Hajj, then the marriage is valid. If he divorces her before consummation, he must give half the expenses that would be incurred for a similar Hajj."
