حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ حَيْثُ تَمَسُّ رُكْبَتِي رُكْبَتَهُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لِأَمِيرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ: تَزَوَّجْتُ هَذِهِ وَشَرَطْتُ لَهَا دَارَهَا، وَإِنِّي أَجْمَعُ لِأَمْرِي أَوْ لَشَأْنِي أَنِّي أَنْتَقِلُ إِلَى أَرْضِ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ: لَهَا شَرْطُهَا، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: هَلَكَتِ الرِّجَالُ إِذًا، لَا تَشَاءُ امْرَأَةٌ أَنْ تُطَلِّقَ زَوْجَهَا إِلَّا طَلَّقَتْ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: «الْمُسْلِمُونَ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمْ عِنْدَ مَقَاطِعِ حُقُوقِهِمْ»
A man came to Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "I married a woman and set the condition of a house for her, and now I want to go to another area." He (Umar) said: "She will get her condition." A man said: "In this way, men will be ruined!" Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Muslims remain bound by their conditions when rights are being decided."
