حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ حُسَيْنٍ الْمُعَلِّمِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً عَلَى خَالَتِهَا فَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ "
A man married a woman in the presence of her maternal aunt, so Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) separated the two.
Brief Explanation
The chain of transmission "Amr ibn Shu'ayb from his father from his grandfather" is "authentic according to the majority" as long as there is no severe weakness in the chain. Husayn al-Mu'allim has been described by some hadith scholars as having suffered from confusion (ikhtilat), but since a trustworthy narrator like Yazid ibn Harun has narrated from him, it is acceptable. Therefore, the chain is suitable for evidence (of the grade of hasan).
