Hadith 1800

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا يُونُسُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَدِيُّ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ: «مَا كُنْتُ لِأَحْكُمَ عَلَيْهِ شَيْئًا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا سَاقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ سِيقَ إِلَيْهِ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I would not decide for more than what the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave in marriage or was given to him."
