Hadith 1742

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: أنا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تُسْتَأْمَرُ الْأَبْكَارُ فِي أَنْفُسِهِنَّ، فَإِنْ أَبَيْنَ خُيِّرْنَ»
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Permission should be sought from virgins for marriage; if they refuse, then they should be given the choice."
