بَابُ مَنْ قَالَ: لَا نِكَاحَ إِلَّا بِوَلِيٍّChapter: Whoever said, "There is no marriage except with a guardian"
Hadith 1722

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مِثْلَهُ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " فَإِنْ قُدِرَ عَلَيْهِنَّ عُوقِبْنَ، كَأَنْ يُقَالَ: أَدْنَى مَا يَكُونُ الْخَاطِبُ وَالشَّاهِدَانِ "
Ibrahim al-Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a marriage is conducted based on the testimony of women, then punishment should be carried out upon them, and for marriage there must be at least a preacher and two witnesses."
