بَابٌ فِي الْمُكَاتَبِ يَمُوتُ وَيَتْرُكُ وَرَثَةً وَعَلَيْهِ بَقِيَّةٌ مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِهِChapter: The mukatab (contracted slave) dies leaving heirs and still owes part of his contract
Hadith 1659

سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: «إِذَا أَوْصَى الرَّجُلُ إِلَى مُكَاتَبِهِ أَوْ إِلَى عَبْدِهِ، جَازَ ذَلِكَ وَكَانَ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْوَصِيِّ»
Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If someone appoints his mukatab or slave as a trustee (wasiy), it is permissible."
