سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَعَنْ شُرَيْحٍ، أَنَّهُمَا قَالَا: " وَلَدُ أُمِّ الْوَلَدِ وَالْمُدَبَّرَةِ. قَالَا: يَرِقُّونَ بِرِقِّهِمَا، وَيَعْتِقُونَ بِعِتْقِهِمَا "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The child of an umm walad and a mudabbirah slave woman is under their ruling; with them, the child will be free or a slave."
