حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ، فَقَامَ لَيْلَتَهُ بِآيَةٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ يُكَرِّرُهَا عَلَى نَفْسِهِ .
Abu Mutawakkil Naji (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood in prayer one night and kept repeating a single verse of the Qur'an throughout the night.
